This is a story about Allan Patterson who runs a small business in Carlisle. The Word on Wood is Allan's mission to spread the Gospel through woodwork pieces made in his shed at the bottom of the garden.
The Work
The Word on Wood is not only gift pieces for family but it is work that goes out to schools, conferences and families at all corners of the earth. He has an incredible gift for making moving pieces that share the word of God.
The Film
The Film is a way to not only document Alan's way to cope with retirement but also to show the incredible work and process that goes into each one of these artisan pieces.
The People
Alan is a retired man trying to keep himself busy and continue to share the Gospel. He has a gift for woodwork and has found a way to use it.
